BOOK AWARDSJames Tait Black Memorial Prizes 2007http://www.englit.ed.ac.uk/jtbinf.htm Founded in memory of a partner at A & C Black Ltd, the James Tait Black Memorial Prizes are awarded annually for the best work of fiction and the best biography (or work of that nature) published during the previous year. They are awarded on the recommendation of John Frow, the Regius Professor of Rhetoric and English Literature at the University of Edinburgh. The value of each prize is £3,000, derived from the James Tait Black Memorial Fund. Previous winners include DH Lawrence, EM Forster, Graham Greene and Salman Rushdie.
