COMPANY PROFILEWe do things a bit differently at Lindsay and CroftSince opening our doors in 1988 as Lindsay & Howes, we've built our reputation on solid, old-fashioned principles: commitment to service underpinned by real expertise, flexibility and a can-do culture backed up by the latest technology — including online ordering and tracking via our specially-developed Global Online Bibliographic Information (GOBI™) service. Part of the YBP group since 1998, we are one of the best-resourced providers of English-language books — from the UK and Continental Europe — to academic and research institutions around the world. But we still focus on what we know best: covering monographs first published in the UK, giving us a unique position through established relationships with our publishers. In 2005 we joined forces with Croft House and transformed from Lindsay & Howes into Lindsay & Croft. This followed the acquisition of Delta International of Addlestone in the UK, a leading exporter of British books to retail, school, ELT and academic markets worldwide. One of its components, Croft House, is a complimentary library services business, serving Europe, South America, Israel and South Africa. Among UK-based export booksellers, we offer the most complete view of UK publishing at any time — with the domestic community of over 6,300 publishers at our fingertips, no other export bookseller comes close. |
