BOOK AWARDSThe International IMPAC Dublin Literary Award 2004http://www.impacdublinaward.ie The International IMPAC Dublin Literary award is the largest and most truly international prizes of its kind, involving libraries from all corners of the globe and open to books written in any language. Administered by Dublin City Public Libraries, the Award is a joint initiative of Dublin City Council, the Municipal Government of Dublin City and the productivity improvement company, IMPAC. The prize fund is 100,000 euros which, if the winning title is written in English, goes entirely to the author. If the book is in English translation, the prize is split between the author (75,000 euros) and the translator (25,000 euros). The winner also receives a trophy sponsored by Waterford Crystal.
