New horizons
Miriam Lindsay, Managing Director of Lindsay and Howes, comments on the year ahead.
As we reflect on all that has happened over this last fiscal year and start to look at the year ahead, I wanted to take this opportunity to thank all our customers for the confidence and support shown to Lindsay and Howes and the service we provide.
This last year has been a really good year for us and — together with the great results from YBP in the US — we have seen growth in sales plus improvement in performance and service for which we are proud, pleased and thankful.
Valuable contribution
The success of any business relies on many people and I am grateful for the hard and conscientious work of the staff here in Godalming, England, the assistance and support of our colleagues in the YBP office in Contoocook, and the valuable contribution made by the sales team out in the field. Together, and with the continued good relationship we enjoy with many of our suppliers, I hope we can build on the current levels of performance and service to show even better results in the coming year.
Customer-focused services
During this last year we have seen the implementation of our new website — which we hope will be a continual source of information and help to you all — and I trust you will make use of our new Toll Free number when calling from the US. And if you haven't heard the news yet, we are also providing approval coverage of African titles in English, distributed in the UK by the African Books Collective. We have high expectations that this extension of our approval coverage will be a useful source for your African title requirements.
Just one other area to highlight! Lindsay and Howes is now able to offer cataloguing support through PromptCat, and over the next few months we want to work with customers who are looking to combine this with physical processing services. All in all, exciting times ahead!
